The Unfinished Memoirs is the English translation of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s Asampta Atmajibani. This autobiographical work begins by detailing the origins of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s family and ends abruptly in 1954. It is basically a prison book in the tradition of Mahatma Gandhi’s My Experiments with Truth (1932), a work written in confinement that made us aware of the role this national hero played in India’s independence movement, and his thoughts and experiences relating to them.
