Although Niebla [Mist] was published in 1914, scholars agree that it must have been drafted in 1907. Very few editorial changes were introduced in the hand-written manuscript kept in the Unamuno Museum of the University of Salamanca. The first page of the manuscript, which bore the date 1907, went missing and no ecdotic analysis has been carried out to determine the exact date.
