William III's fifth Parliament meets with a Tory majority, and Robert Harley as Speaker. The Tories impeach Lords Somers, Orford, Portland, and Halifax, leading Whigs, for their part in signing Partition Treaties, but they are subsequently discharged due to support by Lords and due to the increasing gravity of the European situation.
