Grottasöngr or Gróttasöngr is an eddic poem preserved in the Codex Regius (from the early fourteenth century) and Codex Trajectinus (from the sixteenth century) MSS of the Snorra-Edda. The prose text that precedes it in the Skáldskaparmál is also preserved in other eddic manuscripts but not the poem itself. Vésteinn Ólason (2005) argues that the prose narrative introducing the poem is older within Snorra-Edda than the poem itself which must be a late addition in the Codex Regius scribal tradition.

Grottasöngur is one of the few eddic poems not included in the Codex Regius of the Poetic Edda and yet its inclusion in Snorra-Edda
