Awlad al Ghetto is Elias Khoury’s most recent work, composed of three volumes. The first volume appeared in Arabic in 2016 under the title Awlad al Ghetto: Ismi Adam and it was translated two years later by Humphrey Davies as The Children of the Ghetto: My Name is Adam. The second volume was published in 2018 under the title Awlad al Ghetto: Nijmat al Baher, or The Children of the Ghetto: The Star of the Sea, and is currently being translated into English, French, and Hebrew.
