Along with The Glass Menagerie and A Streetcar Named Desire, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is one of Tennessee Williams’s most well-known plays. Originally produced on Broadway at the Morosco Theatre in New York, the play received nearly unanimous praise for its captivating characters and controversial subject matter.
