When Bernardine Evaristo was co-awarded the Booker Prize for Girl, Woman, Other in 2019, she attained global acclaim, receiving broad media and scholarly attention. Evaristo is a prolific writer who has to date (2020) written a total of eight works of fiction. Mr Loverman is her seventh book-length publication and second prose novel, and was awarded the Publishing Triangle’s Ferro-Grumley Award for LGBT Fiction in 2015.
