The Repository of Arts, literature, commerce, manufactures, fashions and politics, a monthly magazine of 60-70 pages, was published in monthly issues by Rudolph Ackermann (1764–1834), from 1809 to 1829, from his shop, “The Repository of Arts” at 101 Strand, London. Thanks to scanning grants provided by Google, The Repository of Arts is now available online and enables anyone interested to access this bellwether of popular cultural sentiment across the early years of the nineteenth century.
