Life After God, the third book by Canadian writer and visual artist Douglas Coupland, is a collection of eight short stories. More than twenty years after its publication, it continues to be among his most read and studied works. Reviews of his subsequent writing almost inevitably look back to Life After God—and to his other early works, particularly Generation X: Tales for an Accelerated Culture—and see this period as his most productive and important thus far.
