Taras na Parnase [Taras on Mount Parnassus] (1851; 1889) is a Belarusian burlesque poem listed as written in 1855 by Kanstantsin Veranitsyn and published first in 1889 in the newspaper Minskii listok and later as a separate book in Vitsebsk in 1896. The book was so popular that, from 1896 to 1910, it was reprinted six times. For generations of Belarusian writers and scholars, Taras na Parnase became the cornerstone text of the national literary tradition.
