Teju Cole’s Open City was published in 2011 by Random House. Translated into twelve languages to date, the novel has won, among other honors, the New York City Book Award for Fiction (2011), the PEN/Hemingway Award (2012), the Rosenthal Foundation Award of the American Academy of Arts and Letters (2012), and the Internationaler Literaturpreis of the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin (2013).
