Enough of Green, Oxford University Press, 1977, was the fifth collection of Anne Stevenson’s poems to be published and the third in the UK, the first two having been published in the USA. It contains forty-three previously uncollected poems, many written while she was Fellow in Writing at Dundee University from 1973-75, living in a cottage on the Tay estuary. It is dedicated to G. F. Dutton (1924-2010), an eminent biomedical researcher and professor of biochemistry, who was a colleague of hers at Dundee. Dutton also wrote poetry and when Stevenson left Dundee in 1975 she arranged for his first volume of poetry to be published. [See Anne Stevenson’s obituary of G. F.
