This short book (128 pages in length) was first published by Ashgrove Press (Bath, UK), in the US and the UK, in 1980. The first edition appeared in hardback and paperback with the sub-title The Double Brain: Door to Wisdom on the title page and The Right Brain: Door to Wisdom on the cover. The title page was changed to the latter on subsequent editions. A Japanese translation by Hirakawa Shuppan-Sha (Mind Books) of Tokyo was published in 1984.
