Book three in the hugely successful seven book Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban continues the tale of the orphaned boy wizard who attends Hogwarts, the school of witchcraft and wizardry. The story begins where the previous two novels have: at Privet Drive, the home of Harry’s aunt and uncle, and a house that is firmly situated in the Muggle (non-magic) world.

As Harry’s understanding about the wizarding world continues to grow so does the reader’s; both learn about magic, witchcraft and spells simultaneously – the readers are never ahead of Harry in understanding how the events are unfolding or how the various actions will affect the ending of the novel.
