Eine Einleitung in die phänomenologische Philosophie [The Crisis of the European Sciences and Transcendental Phenomenology, 1954] is Husserl's final attempt to introduce the nature and importance of phenomenological philosophy. The proximate sources of this text are to be found in lectures Husserl delivered in May 1935 in Vienna, on the topic “Philosophy in the Crisis of European Mankind” and in a series of lectures on “The Crisis of European Sciences and Psychology” delivered later the same year in Prague.
