Herzensergiessungen eines kunstliebenden Klosterbruders [Outpourings of an Art-Loving Friar] is the product of the symbiotic friendship and collaboration between Ludwig Tieck and Wilhelm Heinrich Wackenroder that the latter refers to as a “schönes Duodram” (“a beautiful play of twosomes”, letter to Tieck, 4 June 1792). Tieck published these eighteen essays on art anonymously in 1796 with 1797 on the title page.
