On the evening of 18 April, Paul Revere and William Dawes roade
to alert Patriots that the British invasion forces were on their
way to Concord to destroy arms. A battle ensued on 19 April. The
Massachusetts Minutemen lost 8 men, while the British took 237
casualties.
