On 1 November, former Secretary of the Interior Albert Fall was
convicted of accepting a bribe of $100,000 dollars in exchange for
leasing rights of the Elk Hill (Teapot Dome) naval oil reserve.
Fall was sentenced to a year in prison and fined the amount he was
paid, $100,000.
