The Sears Tower, built for Sears, Roebuck and Company in
Chicago, reached its maximum height on 7 May 1973 and was completed
in 1974. It has 110 floors, and stretches 1450 feet into the air.
Once the tallest building in the world, the Sears tower was
surpassed in 1996 by the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia.
