Had Luigi Pirandello survived into the twenty-first century, he would have been flattered by the enduring global success of his work. In 2017, during the 150th anniversary of Pirandello’s birth, his legacy was celebrated across the world. Conferences were organized in Europe, Africa, Brazil, and North America, accompanied by films, keynote addresses, workshops, special editions of peer-reviewed journals, and scholarly publications. Spearheaded by the Europäisches Pirandello Zentrum in Munich, these global initiatives composed the Pirandello International 2017 (http://pirandello.eu/international2017/).
