After the Prussian government has threatened to expel the German National Assembly from Frankfurt, and many of the less radical deputies have returned home, a 'rump' of the Assembly moves to Stuttgart, where, two weeks later, it is dissolved by troops. This marks the failure of the attempt at German unification under a Parliamentary system.
