France and Spain sign a Third Family Compact, guaranteeing the possessions of the Bourbon powers. By the terms of their agreement, Spain is to declare war if no peace is found to end the Seven Years' War by 1st May 1762. The document formally states that any enemy of one party is the enemy of the other.
