The Peace of Karlowitz ends the Austro-Ottoman war of 1693-7. It is signed by Austria, Russia, Poland and Venice with Turkey, and under its terms the Ottomans lose Hungary, Transylvania, Croatia and Slavonia to the Habsburgs. Other powers to benefit are Poland (which gains Podolia and the Ukraine), Venice (which gains the Dalmatia and Morea), and Russia, which retains its conquest of Azov.
