The Self-Denying Ordinance, which was rejected by the House of Lords in January, is now passed by both houses. It rules that no member of either House (MP or Lord) can hold military command, and is directed at forcing aristocratic Parliamentarian commanders like the Earls of Essex and Manchester to make way for more committed and radical leaders.
