John George, Elector of Saxony, gathers an army to fight with Emperor Ferdinand II against the Swedes. Until the previous year, the Elector and Emperor were antagonists in the Thirty Years War, but since signing the Peace of Prague Saxony has shifted camps to fight against his former ally.
