French Huguenots break out in the final rising of three rebellions of the 1620s led by Henri de Rohan. It ends with the signing of the Peace of Alais, which confirms some of the terms of the 1598 Edict of Nantes, but removes all political rights from Huguenots, leaving them at the mercy of the King.
