General Wallenstein, commander of the Imperial forces, defeats Count Mansfeld at the Battle of the Bridge of Dessau. Wallenstein occupies Pomerania and pushes Mansfeld out of Germany through Silesia to Hungary, where he joins forces with the Transylvanian prince Gabor Bethlen.
