Marriage treaties are signed which form a betrothal between Louis XIII of France and Anne of Austria, the Infanta of Spain. Another arranges for marriage between Philip Prince of Asturias, heir to the Spanish throne, and Elizabeth Bourbon of France. Both these marriages, strengthening Franco-Spanish ties, take place in 1615. Both countries promise not to make any alliance with Savoy.
