The Treaty of Lyons is signed between France, Spain and Savoy. Henry IV gains Bresse, Bugey, Valromey and Gex, connecting France with Switzerland. In return, Henry allows Charles Emmanuel of Savoy to retain Saluzzo, and agrees to allow Spanish troops to pass from Flanders along a route to Franche-Comté.
