Henry VIII's health rapidly deteriorates, and in the resultant power vacuum, factionalist in-fighting breaks out. A feud develops between Lord Lisle and Bishop Stephen Gardiner. Meanwhile, the Earl of Hertford plots to overthrow the Duke of Norfolk and his son, the Earl of Surrey.
