John Frederick, Elector of Saxony and Philip of Hesse invade Brunswick. The Duke of Brunswick, Henry V, is a staunch Catholic and has launched an attack on the Protestant city of Goslar. The broader force of the Schmalkaldic League becomes involved, and ends up seizing the lands of the duchy, while the Duke himself flees to Bavaria.
