The Duke of Suffolk arrives at Lincoln to suppress the Lincolnshire rising, which had broken out at Louth Park, in response to the closure of Louth Abbey. A band of demonstrators had marched on Lincoln and, by 14th October occupied Lincoln Cathedral. They soon dispersed after facing this threat from the Duke of Suffolk, but their wider impact came in inspiring the more serious Pilgrimage of Grace, which broke out soon afterwards in Yorkshire.
