The Ten Articles, written by Archbishop of Canterbury Thomas Cranmer, are presented to the English Parliament, embodying a Profession of Faith for the Church of England. They are relatively conservative in the doctrines they assert, retaining a belief in purgatory and the sacrament of confession, as well as asserting the Real Presence in the Eucharist, and preserving the Latin Mass.
