Charles V is crowned Holy Roman Emperor and King of Italy by Pope Clement VII at Bologna. This is the last coronation of a Holy Roman Emperor by a pope. Now the Pope's political ally, Charles V persuades Clement to refuse Henry VIII's plea for a divorce from Charles' aunt, Catherine of Aragon.
