Henry VIII appoints Thomas Boleyn, Earl of Wiltshire, as Lord Privy Seal, and sends him on a mission with Stokesley, bishop elect of London, to meet with Pope Clement VII at Bologna. They are under orders to press the King's case for a divorce from Catherine of Aragon.
