After the Sack of Rome, the imperialist army occupies the port city of Civita Vecchia, 80 km north-west of Rome. The Duke of Ferrara besieges Modena and Reggio, while Venice takes Ravenna. As a result, Charles V gains almost complete domination of Italy.
