English Parliament opens. It passes statutes against retainers and liveries in an attempts to limit and quash private warfare among the nation's nobility, and places guilds and companies under state supervision. It also passes an Act of Attainder against the Yorkist Edmund, Earl of Suffolk, who had fled to the Continent.
