Pope Alexander VI makes peace with Naples. The Pope had allied with the French king Charles VIII, who had sought to conquer Naples, while Naples itself had allied with Florence, Milan and Venice. Alexander VI cemented this peace by a marriage between his son Giuffre and Dona Sancha, a granddaughter of Neapolitan king Ferdinand I.
