Established by Anton Drexler, Gottfried Feder and Dietrich Eckart. It was originally named the German Workers' Party, and supported the German workforce. A strongly Nationalist party, it was investigated by Adolf Hitler on behalf of army intelligence. Hitler would go on to join and eventually lead the party.
