Francis I, reviving French claims to the sovereignty of Artois
and Flanders in violation of the Treaty of Cambrai, summons Charles
V before the Parlement of Paris, to do homage for those duchies,
which the Emperor ignores. Francis secures an agreement with
Suleiman I of Turkey for a joint attack on Charles V.
