Fayeza Hasanat (1966- ) is a Bangladeshi-American author, academic and translator. Educated in Bangladesh and the US, she currently teaches in the English Department at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She resides in Orlando with her husband and their two children. Her fiction, nonfiction, and translation works have been published nationally and internationally.

Hasanat completed her BA Honours and MA in English with distinction from the University of Dhaka. She joined her alma mater as a Lecturer in English after graduation. After teaching for a few years, she went on a Fulbright scholarship to the University of Florida to do a second Master’s. She returned to Bangladesh to teach for a few years …
