Despite being praised by well-known poets such as Attilio Bertolucci and publishers such as Guanda and Garzanti, Fernanda Romagnoli’s poetry remained largely unknown for several years following the poet’s death. Thanks to an anthology edited in 2003 by Donatella Bisutti, Il tredicesimo invitato e altre poesie [The Thirteenth Guest and Other Poems], including a selection of previously unpublished work, Romagnoli gained renewed albeit short-lived attention from readers and critics.
