Stephen Graham Jones is one of the most prolific authors of horror, gothic, crime, and speculative fiction who, in 2019, numbers sixteen novels, six short story collections, three novellas, more than two hundred fifty stories, and two comic books among his oeuvre. His writing earned him numerous prizes and fellowships including the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Fiction and four This Is Horror Awards. While Jones is Blackfeet and his ancestry and culture are important to him and his work, he underlines the importance of not being read uniquely as a Native American writer for two reasons.
