As a poet, a visual artist, a writer of short fiction, an editor, a diplomat, and a spokesperson for peace and ecological responsibility, P. K. Page has enjoyed a varied career. She has contributed invaluably to the development of a modernist poetics in Canada, and her accomplished body of work, now spanning more than six decades, has been praised for its brilliant imagery, its technical virtuosity, and its intuition of an unseen order beyond the senses. A Companion of the Order of Canada and a member of the League of Canadian Poets, Page has received numerous awards, including the Governor General's Award, Canada's highest literary honour.
