Over the course of his relatively short career, Federico García Lorca produced a body of work which includes not only poetry and theatre but also prose, essays, music and drawing. He is best known for the plays that form his rural trilogy (Bodas de sangre [Blood Wedding], Yerma and La casa de Bernarda Alba [The House of Bernarda Alba]) and for his books of verse Romancero gitano [Gypsy Ballads] and Poeta en Nueva York [Poet in New York].
