Omar Shahid Hamid is an award-winning Pakistani novelist whose work draws heavily on his experiences as a police officer and counter-terrorism specialist. Three of his novels, The Prisoner (2013), The Spinner’s Tale (2015), and The Party Worker (2017), are quintessential crime thrillers. Hamid has also written The Fix (2019), a cricket thriller, and Betrayal (2021), an espionage novel.
