Sigurður Kristjánsson was an influential publisher of Old Norse literature, notable for the first general edition of the Sagas of Icelanders, widely considered to be a crucial part of the national literature of Iceland.

Sigurður was born in Mýrasýsla but moved to Reykjavík at 20 and studied printing with Einar Þórðarson. He joined Björn Jónsson in Ísafold in 1877 and worked with his printing press until 1886. He then turned to publishing and soon became one of the most important publishers in Iceland. His printing press and publishing house was situated in the heart of Reykjavík.
