Mojisola Adebayo (1980-) is a British playwright of Nigerian and Danish Descent. She was born in South London in 1968. She holds a BA in Drama and Theatre Arts and an MA in Physical Theatre. She completed her PhD at Queen Mary University, with a thesis about her own work, titled “Afriquia Theatre: creating Black Queer Ubuntu Through Performance”.

She worked as a performer in the now defunct Black Mime Theatre company, founded by Denise Wong. Her work is influenced by The Theatre of the Oppressed of Augusto Boal, whom she cites as a huge influence on her work.
