Since her debut in 2014, Ottessa Moshfegh has been steadily cementing her position as one of America’s “brightest and brashest literary talents” (Mitchell, 2018). To date, Moshfegh has published five books and she has already amassed an impressive collection of accolades. Moshfegh’s debut novella, McGlue (2014), won the Believer Book Award and was handpicked by a blind jury as the inaugural winner of the Fence Modern Prize for Prose. In 2016, her first full-length novel Eileen (2015), won the PEN/Hemingway Award and was shortlisted for both the Man Booker Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award.
