Gail Jones is one of Australia’s most celebrated novelists and academics. Originally from Western Australia, she moved to Sydney in 2008, and now lives in the inner-western suburb of Glebe. She is the author of two collections of stories, one critical monograph, and nine novels. Her fiction has been translated into many languages and has won major national accolades. These include the Prime Minister’s Literary Award, the Nita Kibble Literary Award, the ALS Gold Medal, the Age Book of the Year Award, the Colin Roderick Award, the H. T.
